Together, Clarke’s three films reflect on industrialisation and modernism in Europe in a spy-thriller inspired format. The first, We Are Not Like Them (2013), connects four different locations in an exploration of industrialisation in modern Europe: now-closed Newcastle shipyards; a city on the eastern border of Germany; a city on the outskirts of Kraków in Poland; and a primary school in suburban Paris. Christmas Eve Vigil

The majority of Christmas events here still focus on the religious festival itself. A Christmas vigil is held in St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral by the Archbishop of Dublin, with the beautiful sounds of the Palestrina Choir at 9.30pm. Mass follows at 10pm.
